Vlad Vexler is a
philosopher
& political analyst

Vlad's academic work focuses on political values, in particular liberty. He is currently writing a book about Isaiah Berlin's political ideas.

His public intellectual work, including on his YouTube channels, makes sense of our cultural and political challenges, including the crisis in our democracies, the rise of populism, climate breakdown, & Russia's politics.

Vlad frequently appears as a guest in the media, including on BBC and AP, and on YouTube talk shows and podcasts.

Vlad was born in the Soviet Union before moving to the UK, where he became a British citizen as a teenager.

He has been disabled since 2003. For the first two years of his illness he was unable to walk, talk or read. He has been largely housebound with limited daily function ever since.

Vlad’s health finally allowed him to begin producing YouTube content in fall 2019 & he produces as much as he can within the limits of his illness.

His films speak to a wide audience about the challenges our world faces, offering deep and clear-sighted analysis, as well as solutions.

Vlad’s main channel hosts his video essays.

‘Vlad Vexler Chat’ is a more informal platform on which he posts conversational content more frequently, including Q&A videos answering audience comments & questions. He regularly broadcasts live.
